MRI Claustrophobia?

Claustrophobia usually appears during MRI exams with older machines as the patient is placed in a long dark cylinder with the celling of the scanner being close to the patient’s face.

At AIMIS Diagnostics, this is NOT the case! Our MRI is designed for greater patient comfort as it has a wider opening, is shorter in length and is open at both ends. In fact, it is specifically designed to accommodate even the most obese patients (up to 250kg!) whilst yielding higher resolution for clearer diagnostic images.

During the entire exam, you will also be able to see our technologists through a window. Speakers and a microphone inside the scanner will enable you to communicate with them at any time. You’ll even be given earplugs and/or a headset to help block out noise whilst you enjoy your favorite tunes.
